TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

  1. The SOC Charity Fun Run 2018 (The Run) is organised by the School of Computing, National University of Singapore (The Organiser). The Run will be held on Saturday, 22 September 2018 (Run Day), from 5pm to 7pm.

  2. The Organiser reserves the right to amend these rules without prior notification.

  3. As a Participant in The Run, I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my possessions and athletic equipment during The Run and its related activities.

  4. The Flag-off Time is 5.00pm on Run Day, and the Cut-off Time is 6.30pm. The Route is as specified on the run Website: http://20years.comp.nus.edu.sg/run

  5. I understand that if I miss the Flag-off Time by more than 20 minutes, I will not be allowed to participate in The Run. I must also complete The Route before the Cut-off Time.

  6. The run attire is t-shirt or singlet, and running shorts or pants, and running shoes, with the Running Bib prominently attached onto the shirt, singlet, shorts or pants. I understand that if I am not attired as such throughout The Run, I will not be allowed to participate in The Run, and may be asked to leave the venue.

  7. I consent to having photographs and video-recordings to be taken of me at The Run and its related activities, for the purpose of use in publications (in softcopy, print and in social media) by the Organiser. I acknowledge and agree that the copyright and all other intellectual property rights of these photographs and video-recordings shall belong solely and absolutely to the Organiser.

  8. I agree that in the event that The Run is delayed, postponed, or cancelled, due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to inclement weather (such as lightning, thunderstorm, strong winds, haze, floods, fire), terrorist attacks, war or impending war, or acts of God, my registration fee will not be refunded to me.

  9. I agree that the name I specify to appear on my Running Bib must not be vulgar, obscene or profane. If the Organiser deems the name inappropriate, I agree that the Organiser has the discretion to change the name without informing me or seeking my approval.

  10. I understand that I am solely responsible for my health and safety at The Run. I agree that in the event that I am unwell at any point during The Run, the Organiser has the right to stop me from starting The Run, or continuing in it, and refer me to medical help.

  11. During the Run, I agree to listen to, and abide by, all instructions given by Road Marshals and Officials. These instructions include but are not limited to: stopping at road junctions for vehicles to pass, keeping off the road and staying on footpaths, changing the Route, seeking shelter from bad weather, suspending or cancelling the Run.
